The Irish draught has a handsome intelligent head with a straight profile and sometimes a slightly roman nose, the Irish draught has large well set apart eyes, a well set on neck and a well defined a wither and a good sloping shoulder. The Irish draught has a strong muscular compact body with a deep girth, powerful hind quarters, strong limbs, plenty of good flat bone and good sound feet. The Irish draught has a straight free moving action. Irish draught horses usually stand between 15 to 17 hands high and can be any solid colour.
History
