History

The name is derived from the combination of the two breed names to give the name “Anglais-Arabe”, which became commonly known as the Anglo-Arabe, the translation from the French is the name “Anglo-Arab”. France is one of the major producers of the Anglo-Arab breed; the Studbook Francais has records of the Anglo-Arab that date back to the early 1800s.
